"Voices from High School" Opening Night

Here I am with my best friend Nyjah who came out to both days of my performance to support me.I wore this dress on Monday August 9th to the dinner in which I invited my mum and sister.Funny thing was that I thought it would be a casual dinner since we were in school since 10am rehearsing. But then I see all my co-actors in ties and heels,I immediately called my mom and told her to grab this dress, heels and accessors.I hadn't even shaved that morning -_- haha, luckily no one noticed. This dress was bought as a back up dress for sports awards in case someone had my original dress, luckily no one did!

Dress : Forever 21
Necklace : Wet Seal
My character Judy,is a very clumsy girl who thinks she looks too bad to go to prom & doesn't want to open the door for her boyfriend. But she ends up doing so :)
At the beginning we danced to "Gotta Live Like Your Dying" by Kris Allen & at the end we danced to the Black Eyed Peas song "I Gotta Feeling".The last dance was sort of a prom scene, which is why my scene was last.

I had a wardrobe malfunction,my original prom dress was pink & very '80s but the zipper broke and the costume designer tried putting me in a brown skirt with ugly flowers,I told her to find a bright color, and she gave me this.It turned out for the best because the prom dress was tight and hard to dance in!

Here I am with my signed College Now shirt and white shorts from Target.I had so much adrenaline after the performance I was in school for 11hours!I hugged all the people that came to support me,including my family, friends, and one of my Opening Act theater workshop teaching artist!
By the way the visual elements lady had the make-up artists apply stage make-up on us and a bruise on me!
